Fernando de Noronha Fees 2026: Everything You Need to Pay
By Danilo Dirê · Updated 2026 · 6 min read

Every visit to Fernando de Noronha involves two separate government charges — and it's common to confuse one for the other. The first is an accommodation tax charged per night. The second is an entrance ticket to the National Marine Park, valid for a fixed period. Neither is collected by EmNoronha — both are paid directly to the government agencies in charge.
TPA
Environmental Preservation Tax (TPA) — mandatory
The TPA is charged by the Fernando de Noronha Prefecture per night of stay on the island. The 2026 rate is R$105.79 per night, adjusted annually by Brazil's inflation index (IPCA). The more days you stay, the lower the daily rate — up to a 10-night maximum. For a 5-day trip, you pay the equivalent of 4 nights, not 5.
Pay online at noronha.pe.gov.br before you travel to avoid queues at the airport on arrival.
National Marine Park
ICMBio entrance ticket — essential
The second charge is the entrance to the National Marine Park of Fernando de Noronha, administered by ICMBio. The 2026 rate is R$384.00 for foreign visitors (R$192.00 for Brazilians), valid for 10 days from the purchase date.
This ticket grants access to the most sought-after beaches on the island — Baía do Sancho, Baía dos Porcos, Sueste and Leão — and to trails inside the park area. Without it, access to these areas is not permitted.
